Conference “Prospects of educational programmes development and “green” sustainable development projects” Organizers: NRU “Higher School of Economics” jointly with Technological platform “Technologies of environmental development” and SGM Agency in partnership with UN Global Compact Local Network Russia, “Eca” and leading Russian universities.
The conference will feature discussion of development prospects of educational programmes on sustainable development and “green economy”, as well as application of “green” university practices in Russian higher education facilities.
Representatives of federal ministries (Ministry of Education, Ministry of Natural Resources), authorities of city Moscow (Department of Education, Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection), representatives of companies-leaders in environmental and social responsibility, leading Russian universities and educational centers, environmental and social non-profit organizations.
The conference consists of two sections
Section I. Demand for educational programmes on sustainable development: experience of implementation in Russian universities
Presentation of international experience and best practices of Russian universities on introducing educational courses on sustainable development topics
Demand of business community, public authorities and other stakeholders for education in sustainable development
Prospects of creating educational modules/standards/systems on sustainable development
Section II. Opportunities of implementing ‘green universities’ practices in Russian educational facilities: experience, support mechanisms, incentives
Presentation of best ‘green’ practices in Russian universities
Prospects and obstacles to scale up ‘green practices’
Discussion on a ‘green university’ standard proposal
Prospects of creating a ‘green universities (educational facilities)’ consortium in the Russian Federation
