New Year 2026 and Christmas Greetings
Dear colleagues!
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the UN Global Compact Network Russia, we would like to congratulate you on the upcoming New Year and Christmas and express my sincere appreciation for our cooperation, professional dialogue, and joint work.
The outgoing year has become an important milestone in the development of the Sustainable Development Agenda, responsible business conduct, and the strengthening of partnerships between the state and all stakeholders. In the context of ongoing global uncertainty, it is precisely commitment to shared values, a systemic approach, and readiness for dialogue that have made it possible to continue work focused on a sustainable future.
The year 2025 was marked by a number of significant anniversaries of particular importance to the international community. One of the key events was the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the United Nations, which for decades has remained the foundation of multilateral dialogue and cooperation. This anniversary reminds us of the value of the principles of solidarity, responsibility, and constructive dialogue as the only path to overcoming global challenges.
Separately, 2025 also marked the 25th anniversary of the UN Global Compact—the world’s largest United Nations initiative on responsible business conduct, uniting companies and organizations around ten universal principles in the areas of human rights, labor relations, environmental protection, and anti-corruption, as well as serving as a platform for the implementation of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Assessing the results achieved, we see the significant role of business as a key participant in progressive transformations in the economy, the social sphere, and environmental protection.
We highly value the professionalism, engagement, and willingness to cooperate demonstrated by each participant and all partners of the UN Global Compact in the consistent implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
We look to the New Year with confidence, viewing it as a period of new opportunities, the implementation of sustainable initiatives, and the continuation of joint efforts in response to challenges—for the sake of a future in which economic development is harmoniously combined with social responsibility and a careful attitude toward the environment and climate.
May the upcoming year 2026 become a period of strengthened partnerships, consistent implementation of the principles of sustainable development, and the achievement of meaningful progress in the interests of the well-being of our country and the entire world.
